Nicole’s work is interdisciplinary, using drawing, installation, media, and sculpture to express concepts that are connected to human experience through an artistic language that features the female body.

She has an MFA from the Chelsea College of Art and Design (London, England) and a BFA Honours from the University of Manitoba. Selected exhibitions include The Fragile Power of Drawing at Atelier 11 (Paris, FR), Live in the Centre: An Incomplete and Anecdotal History of Performance Art at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Unafraid at Plug In ICA, Art Building Community at Gallery 1C03 and Walking and Being at the Everson Museum of Art (Syracuse, NY). Selected public art installations include Illuminate the Night (Nuit Blanche 2021), the Social Innovation Challenge (2019) and Urban Idea’s Creative Placemaking Challenge (2014). Her videos have screened at the Detroit Museum of New Art (USA), on BBC’s big screen events, Camden Roundhouse (London, UK), at Prairie Scene (Ottawa), Images Festival (Toronto), Supermarket Art Fair (Stockholm, Sweden) and with Studio 303 at the MAI (Montreal).

Artist Residencies include L'AiR Arts International Residency (Paris, France), Banff Centre for the Arts (Canada), Brompton Design District and Bow Arts Trust (London, England). Other residencies include Plug In ICA’s Summer Institutes with Post Commodity; Assume Astro Vivid Focus and Trackings & Trappings. Her practice investigates survival experiences through materials - drawing, sculpture, performance, media and design.
